Nest Design Studio New Website

We just love the work of ladies from Nest Design Studio, so we where very happy and excited when Natalie asked us to redesign the studio’s website 🙂

We had so much fun designing and installing the elements. Natalie is great to work with, she’s a lady that knows what she wants and is open to suggestions.
We are sooo pleased that Natalie and her mom loved the whole look and feel of the website. Thanks ladies!

Oh and we are very proud of the flash intro that we made 🙂

Veoma volimo rad devojaka iz Nest Design Studia, pa smo bile vrlo srećne i uzbuđene kada nas je Natali pitala da redizajniramo njihov websajt 🙂

Dizajniranje i instalacija elemenata je bila veoma zabavna. Natali je super za saradnju, ona je devojka koja zna šta želi i otvorena je za sve predloge.
Jako smo zadovoljne što Natali i njena mama vole ceo izgled i “osećaj” sajta. Hvala!

Sunny Earrings in NY

Hi guys! Here is a photo of our crocheted earrings that traveled to NY thanks to S of 3 oranges design studio. They were a gift for M who modeled them for us. Thanks M, we’re glad you liked your gifts! 🙂

Also one pair of these colorful earrings traveled to Hungary and one stayed here in Novi Sad. Big thanks to the ladies M, Z and S!

Decoupage Workshop

As we mentioned earlier in this post, we’re going to decoupage workshops as often as we can. The workshops are free and are held at Volunteer club in Novi Sad, every Monday at 20 pm. Everyone is welcome to join! All you need to do is apply at vcvklub@gmail.com. You don’t need any previous knowledge of this craft, you will learn everything at the club.

Volunteer club has plenty of free workshops like French and Spanish for beginners, Capoeira music workshop, Professional orientation and more. You can find out more on their website.

Kao što smo ranije spomenule u ovom postu, idemo na dekupaž radionice kada god možemo. Radionice su besplatne i održavaju se u Volonterskom klubu u Novom Sadu, svakog ponedeljka u 20 časova. Svi su dobrodošli! Sve što treba da uradite je da se prijavite na vcvklub@gmail.com. Ne treba vam prethodno znanje ove veštine, sve ćete naučiti u klubu.

Volonterski klub ima mnogo besplatnih radionica kao što su francuski i španski za početnike, radionica capoeira muzike, profesionalna orijentacija i mnoge druge. Možete da saznate više na njihovom sajtu.

Evo par odličnih fotografija dekupaž radionice koje je napravila Kristina. Kristina studira žurnalistiku ali njena prva ljubav je fotografija. Ona postavlja svoje radove na Flickr-u i ima profil na Tumblr-u.

Colorful crochet bracelet

These crochet bracelets are made as a birthday present to our dear sister 🙂
We love how you can choose a number and color combination that suit your mood…or your outfit.

Oh and by the way the red bracelets are actually recycled. Yarn that they are made of is harvested from an old shirt, so it’s a pretty and an eco-friendly bracelet 🙂

Ove narukvice su pravljene kao rođendanski poklon za našu dragu sestru 🙂
Dopalo nam se što može da se izabere željeni broj i boje koje odgovaraju trenutnom raspoloženju…ili garderobi.

Inače crvene narukvice su napravljene od recikliranog konca prikupljenog sa stare majice. Tako da je ovo jedna lepa i eko-prijateljska narukvica 🙂

Canvas design

We’ve been working with Kelly on hers themed canvases. Kelly has a wholesale company in Australia called All The Rage. We had so much fun designing the look for the canvases, thanks Kelly 🙂

Radile smo sa Kelly na njenim tematskim platnima. Kelly ima kompaniju veleprodaje u Australiji koja se zove All The Rage. Bilo nam je veoma zabavno raditi dizajn za platna, hvala Kelly.

New Layout Implementation: Six Oak Street

Another WordPress blog got a facelift thanks to Jenna from Q.A. Designs and us – Twisted Sisters! Jenna did her magic and created layout elements (sidebar buttons and title images, social networking buttons, blog button, signature and favicon) and we installed them on Jamie’s blog Six Oak Street. We also fixed the “You might also like:” feature – links that appear after each post. Take a look:

Još jedan WordPress blog je dobio fejslift zahvaljujući Dženi iz Q.A. Designs i nama – Twisted Sisters! Džena je upotrebila svoju magiju i kreirala elemente za layout (sidebar dugmad i slike, dugmad za socijalne mreže, slika/dugme za blog, potpis i favicon) a mi smo ih instalirale na Džejmin blog Six Oak Street. Takođe smo popravile “You might also like:” linkove koji se pojavljuju posle svakog posta. Evo kako izgleda:

Seven things about us:

1. We are sisters, Sanja is 27 and Dragana is 24 years old, but people often think we are twins – and everyone thinks we are younger than we really are 🙂
2. We have a brother (aka the bother – as we like to call him :)) who is a packaging designer. We all got a creative gene from our mom who is signage designer and a crafty lady. And we got our dad’s good looks 😀
3. We’re addicted to TV series and movies. But, like, really addicted! Our brother calls us no lifers. We once went trough a whole Gilmore Girls series in just three days – it’s 7 seasons long!
4. We love to read and try to do it as often as we can. Example: reading while standing in a bus on the way to work, reading in waiting rooms and waiting lines…reading at 4 am, although you know you have to get up very early tomorrow…Favorite books (so far) – Sanja: “To Kill A Mocking Bird” by Lee Harper – Dragana: “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak
5. We know Karma will get us if we do stupid things, but we still do them… Yeah, we’re wild! XD
6. Our dream is to one day live on a seaside, where is always warm and sunny… And if that doesn’t work – learn to hibernate! And skip the winter altogether.
7. We can’t say no to popcorn! And almonds. Those are like drugs to us!

Shirt Art: Sheep In The Yellow City

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all your positive comments and likes on our Shirt Art post – you are amazing and your support is precious to us 🙂

Considering that you liked our shirt refashion, we decided to make another one! This time it’s a yellow shirt that had a tinny, tinny hole. We realized that no matter how well we were to mend this tear the patch would still be obvious so, once again, we turned to our trusty embroidery needle. First, we mended the hole with some basic thin tread, and than embroidered a little sheep over the mended aria. This is how it turned out:

Pošto vam se dopalo kako smo popravile prethodnu majicu, odlučile smo da uradimo još jednu! Ovaj put u pitanju je žuta majica koja je imala malenu rupu. Zaključile smo da koliko god dobro zašile tu rupicu, zakrpa bi ipak bila vidljiva tako da smo se ponovo odlučile da upotrebimo našu pouzdanu iglu za vez. Prvo smo običnim tankim koncem zašile rupu a zatim smo preko toga izvezle malenu ovcu. Evo kako je ispalo:

Promotional Material for Exhibition “Women in Sports”

We did some promotional material for the exhibition “Women in Sports”. Exhibition opened on the 17th of February 2012 in Cultural Centre of Novi Sad. The program of the exhibition is made to promote the potential of women of all ages in sport and encourage greater participation of women in all sports disciplines.

This exhibition was made in collaboration of Provincial Department of Sport and Youth, Academy Of Arts University Of Novi Sad photography department, non-governmental organizations Vojvodjanka – Regional Women’s Initiative and Center for Support of Women and sports clubs from Novi Sad, Kikinda, Pančevo and Senta.

Material included: Event info, invitation, image signatures, Facebook promo announcement and e-mail invitation.
Bellow is material we made and the setup of the exhibition.

Pravile smo promo materijal za izložbu Žene u sportu. Izložba je otvorena 17. februara 2012. u Kulturnom centru Novog Sada. Program izložbe je osmišljen da učini vidljivim potencijale žena svih generacija u sportu i podstakne veće učešće žena u svim sportskim disciplinama.

Izložba fotografija je nastala zahvaljujući saradnji koja je ostvarena između Pokrajinskog sekretarijata za sport i omladinu, odseka za fotografiju na Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu, nevladinih organizacija Centar za podršku ženama i Vojvođanka – Regionalna inicijativa, i sportskih klubova iz Novog Sada, Kikinde, Pančeva i Sente.
